Dear Thailand Project Supporters,

We’re all grown up!

The Thailand Project: Higher Education as Humanitarian Aid has graduated from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP) to become its own Non-Profit Organization.

We graciously thank UWSP for providing our program with a home-base over the years and for their continued support of Srinuan “Aor” Saokhamnuan and Fongtip Boonsri; allowing them to pay in-state tuition through their Bachelor’s Degrees (Estimated date of graduation: May 2014).

The Thailand Project non-profit maintains its 501c3 status under the fiscal sponsorship of the Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin ( http://www.cfcwi.org/ ).

This summer, while Fongtip continues her studies at UWSP, we will be working on the ground in Thailand with Aor to gain her necessary travel documents and visas so that she may continue as a student this upcoming fall semester. Aor remains stateless, without citizenship from any country, and our primary goal is to complete her Thai citizenship appeal process that we began in December ’09.

In between mountains of paperwork and visits to Thai govt. offices, we will continue our outreach efforts within scattered villages along the Thai/Myanmar border whose children are at the highest risk of human trafficking. We will provide regular accounts of our progress with photos and video. Please feel free to follow along by visiting The Thailand Project’s Facebook page.

Attached to this post, you will find a link to: “Timeline of Accomplishments”. Please know that these accomplishments are also your own. Without the generosity of individuals like you, The Thailand Project would not be able to reach the lives and build the dreams that it has and continues to.

We thank you always for your support.

Sincerely,

Joseph Quinnell & Susan Perri
Co-Founders & Co-Directors
